YALE HISTORICAL SOCIETY GARDEN DESIGN
The Yale Historic Site is one of eleven Province of British Columbia Heritage Sites and is managed by the Yale and District Historical Society. The Society was formed in 1977 to gather, preserve, record and exhibit Yale’s history. The ‘Historic Yale’ story is told through the preservation and maintenance of the St. John the Divine Church, the 1870's ‘Creighton House’ Museum, and now the Ward house. Great care is being given to maintain authenticity, even in the gardens, and I am delighted to be the consultant and gardener for this wonderful heritage site.
GARDENS ON CHILLIWACK ROTARY GARDEN TOUR
Every year the Chilliwack Rotary Club puts on a garden tour that focuses on the gardens that best show what gardening is all about in the area from Harrison, Agassiz and Chilliwack. Hundreds of gardeners attend each year. Often they are looking for ideas for there own yards and always enjoy the beauty our gardens have to offer. Over the last three years we have been very honored to have several of our gardens (both designed and/or maintained) on this wonderful tour. They include: Linda Phelps, Brad & Sara Weflan, Bryan and Arenda Van Hoepen, Keith & Marcia Boulanger and my own. |
